Feeling tempted to throw that old wrapping paper in the fireplace to burn? Don't!

Happy Thanksgrilling! Safety Tips from the HPBA

Turkeys can be fried in less than an hour, smoked over low heat for several hours or even cooked on a grill - offering mouthwatering flavor, crisp texture and time to spare for more family time this holiday.

Safety Tips from the HPBA

To minimize the chance of burn injuries, the Hearth, Patio & Barbeque Association (HPBA) recommends the following steps for safe and enjoyable operation of a hearth product:

Starting a Safe Fire

Creating a perfect fire starts with using seasoned firewood cut to the correct length. To start a safe fire, crumple paper on the grate within the fireplace and cover it with kindling or a manufactured firestarter.
